Hey Johno welcome to mad-house :)

I'm sure Scott will be along a little later to assign you a Captain's number for the SIG.

Have a look through the build threads already under way in here to get some idea of how people set them up and then go ahead and post up a thread when you're ready to take the plunge.

We'll need to figure out how to post your images from imgur though which isn't something I use myself, but from looking at someone else's threads there looks like a way of selecting the code for a single image rather than the full gallery

Here's an example I stole from aur0ra145 as I know he uses imgur - hope this helps

I do it via individual picture. Right click, copy image location and post. Then wrap in IMG tags. Or you can do the imgur drop down for bbc code and copy paste per photo. Gallery links won't work here.

Introducing Captain #53 Johno

If you need any help, just let us know. You are welcome to private message me if you want
Have a peek at the threads and see the pattern how they start....Box photo, sprue shots and aircraft information.
Then you just post away your progress. Most are using a third party host to link photos called Flickr, though there are others
There will be a door prize draw very soon for participants who have started a thread.

Ya sorry bud
Try a Mosquito..nice small build, Tamiya has a good one in 1/72 scale...or larger
There are over three months left in the sig, easy to bang away at a mossi while you tinker with your Harriers

Evening.

I'm interested in joining this SIG. This will be my first time doing this so please forgive me if I do something wrong. I'll be working on the Revell 1\48 B-17F Memphis Belle. This will be straight out of the box with no thrills.

Thanks

James

Both this kit and a Harrier would be perfect for the Cold War Sig. why not join in there?

Just a question from me about any future entries i could possibly make
The B-2 would qualify (yes i plan on getting the Revell 1:144 kit)
But how about the F-117 Nighthawk ,it has 2 bomb bays but the F would make it a fighter how ever it was used for bombing
On the bench
GB builds
1/35 Trumpeter M1132 ESV

Personal builds
1/35 Hobby Boss M1070 tractor with M1000 semi trailer and Meng M1A2 TUSK II Abrams
1/35 Takom V2 rocket with the Meillerwagen and SS100 tractor

If the version you have has a bomb bay with doors and is a fighter I say Fine.....ie the mosquitos
If it is purely a fighter bomber with eternal bombs only, then no

I guess it is all good then
After digging a bit i found the F-117 is technically a attack plane by US standards but has bomb bays (and doors) for the Stealth capabilities and no external hard points at all
Weird thing is that in Dutch they call it a light bomber
So that will be a trip to the LHS then somewhere during the week

I had a vacation the past 2 weeks
A combination of a accident (not me but the girlfriend) and not much planned in the first place gave me a whole lot of time for building
