As promised on the news show I'm going to enter this SiG and complete it if it kills me...lol

This is what I'm entering.....




I also have the ATAK zimmerit for it. I picked this kit up for a stupidly cheap £25 so, could afford to get the add on zim for it. It also came with a brass antennae and some extra etch covers...




Never attempted anything armour on this scale before especially with over 600 pieces! Little bit daunting, but really want to have a crack at it and do it justice. Was going to review it, but I understand it's OOP now so, won't bother

I will build this kit

i have a set of friul tracks for it and nothing else really
but i want to keep it simple as i have 2 big builds at the moment and i want to finish my big tiger sometime soon so maybe a small base but no big diorama (for now)
The plan is to make it look like Otto's Tiger so i will do some research to see if the colors and scheme are correct for this tank

Technically its a Tiger 1 - modified - there was no actual Sd Kfz number generated (Italeri jumped the gun) and actually, its not a Berge recovery vehicle at all, but most likely a landeslager....demolition explosive layer....

Though very cool Chris, it would break the rules that Devon layed out.

One day I may try my hand at one of those though.

Me too. I have it on order as well. I don't plan on building it anytime soon though.

I'm quite packed with groups builds at the moment but if I can get my hands on this new release from Dragon I'm defo entering it in here

It's the tiger but with the original Henschel turret and the 75mm gun from the very first production of panthers (hence the round muzzle break)

I picked mine up on spec - wanted a Bergepanther and the chap had the Bergetiger too, so thought why not! Then I found out its not a recovery vehicle at all...

Sorry im a party pooper guys with the rules. But loooks like some awesome builds are going to be done for this one even with the rules LOL. Here is what i am going to be building for this.

Thinking of building a Tamiya Early Tiger. I'd love to get a Dragon Tiger w/ Zim but I havent found one within my budget.

Maybe I can find a Late Dragon between $60-70

Well I found a Dragon 6600 for $54 shipped. Or I could go for a Tamiya Early for $45 shipped....

Yeah. I think $9 more will be worth it just for the better options and better quality tracks. Although I'm thinking about getting some Fruilmodel tracks and maybe a AM barrel.
There are a lot of pictures of Tiger 123, so I may go that route.

No, it hasn't been lying around for years. It arrived in the mail in that condition a few weeks ago!

Just ordered the Tamiya Tiger I Initial Production kit:
Should be here around Jan 8. This will be a straight OOB build. Going to be reviewing a LOT of Coen's (aka "Mr. Tiger") videos while it's being built!

I am goin to use Tamiya's Zimmerit Coating Sheet - Tiger I (Mid Late Production) and maybe some other extras.

Also, I am goin to make a diorama which will feature this...

along with a few figures and perhaps a motorcycle, but I have yet to decide on the details.
This is the first group build I will participate in and I am really excited
