That's a really sweet little kit Jan, they didn't cheap out when they struck it in the wash from its big brother. You did well picking that.

Well here we go then, started on it today.
First thing to be done was all the running gear.

The instructions say to add the spacer to the wheel then attach to the pins on the lower hull. I found it better to add these straight the to pin then later add the wheels.

Very cool looking bits, better and crisper detail than I thought.
:th: :th: :th: looks cool so far.

Thanks Coen, there has been very little or no flash at all. It is indeed very crisp, however the instructions are a bit confusing, this will be shown/explained in later updates.

Today managed to do the rear of the hull, here I came a upon a small problem. This resulted in me doing a bit of filing on the PE parts.

Image

Now this is where I think Dragon didnt think things out properly. Instructions tell me to drill out some holes (probably for the tow ropes). Now the holes are already drilled out (not by me I must add), however the instructions say these parts are not to be used. What to do........fill the holes or use the tow ropes?

Image
Image
Image

Now does anyone know what they mean by S (75mm), as I can not find anything in the instructions for this.

You should add those tow cables Jan, you'll also have to extend them by adding to the part with some thread or a similar material.
It also looks like the exhaust shrouds are on the wrong sides, the big notch that's on the top of the shroud should be on the outside.
It's hard to see in the photo though.

Thanks Coen for noticing the mistake (even dragon are not accurate as seen in the instructions). Thanfully I hadn't glued the shrouds in place, just have to get the file out again so that they will fit in place.
I will add the tow ropes, so I have ordered some (will not use those from the kit) and also PE grilles.

I'm starting to feel like a rivet counter now Jan. haha.
I've been making several suggestions like this on a couple of builds and I'm starting to feel funny about it haha.

I managed to fix the cowlings on the right way (thanks Coen for noticing).

Image

I then started on the turret and figures. The turret roof is not glued yet, as I may have to remove the loaders hatchh so that the figure can stand inside. This also goes for the drivers hatch.

Image

I got a few extras to go with this kit.

Started on the drivers hatch, first had to measure the hatch and then find something to draw the circle. So I came up with the idea of using a drill bit.

Another update, not much done. Did some pe and put the wheels on.

Image

Just a little bit of sag in the tracks  need to do some chopping and glueing. There is too much track.

I really need to start looking closer at some of these 1/48 and 1/72 armour pieces. Some of these are absolutely wonderful looking kits.

Started on the diorama, used 'sea foam' from reality in scale for the tree. Sprayed some glue to it and added some green foliage to it. Static grass (long) was added for the grassed area. Still a bit more to add.

Thanks Coen.
these are the few things I used for this.
Green flock
Small static grass
Moss (you can buy this from any model train shop)

I sprayed the moss with glue and then sprinkled on the green flock, then sprayed more glue and then sprinkled on the static grass ( up to you how much you put on).

I've seen that moss used on hundreds of dioramas before, I've never much cared for the look. What you did to it completely changes the appearance of it.
I'm liking that... I have a tonne of that moss here in the cave, I may have a new use for it.
Thanks bud!!!

To be honest its the first time I've done anything like it. Was looking on youtube for scenery and came across this idea..
