Revell 1/48 B-24

Oh goodness. Where do I start. The kit has decent detail but I foresee many fit issues. The First step is the crew cabin and bombardier's area.




This picture is the basic painting and assembly.




This is the control panel with a bit more detail including bolts on the console.




This is one of the seats with seat belts molded in.




This is the complete cabin with a wash on it and LOTS of dry brushing. The instrument panel was dry brushed but looking through reference images the kit's instrument panel wasn't very accurate.





So far the kit Is not that bad but I'll try to have fun with it. Happy new year. The build will continue in the new year.

Well I lied. It was a rainy day here in AZ and I had to get to work.



I started by painting and applying decals to the gunner doors. the clear window fit well but the decals were a bit finicky.




I next built the rear gunner platform. Construction was straight forward and the guns swivel on the joints well.




This is a shot of the rear fuselage were the gunners are located. Decant detail. This is after dry brushing and a wash.




This is a picture of the ammo box that is mounted on the side wall. The gunner platform already has ammo boxes on the floor so I assume that this is the gun's ammo while the ammo on the floor is reserve.




This is the gunners platform and cabin glued onto the fuselage.





So far the kit is pretty good and does not have many issues. The kit will be continued in the new year, so see you all then!

Yeah it's very big. Maybe a little less then on and a half feet. Don't get me started on the wings.

Thanks this guy might get benched however due to me getting a 1/32 revell He 111. I thought I didn't have space for the b-24!!
