Schwimmwagen emerging from the river.

Hi guys,

Here are the final reveals of the long awaited Schwimmwagen!

Back in september of last year I posted the last picture of this project when I had
just finished adding the transparent acrylique kit/mastique for water, which was still very white at that time.

Here is a pict of when I had just applied the mastique.

In a previous attempt at making water I used 'water texture' from Vallejo. But that didn't become transparent
and it started cracking when it shrenk!
The kit took 3 months to clear! :crazy:

A project that took a while to complete. :crazy:
Waiting for the kit to clear up.

Wow came out great....im so glad it worked so well i remember the first attempt didnt work out and u had to tear it out and start over....awesome job :th: :th: :th:

Getting water effects right on a diorama is very tricky, you managed that perfectly :) i really like the result!

Yes! :crazy: Due to the volume it really took 3 months to totally become clear.
It started at the edges and slowly cleared to the centre... :ooops:

Hi Han think I owe you an apology, been looking at some of your previous work (which is just amazing) and you seem to do a lot of scratch builds, not just a one off sorry again. :bow:: A question if I may about the mud/PVA mix you used :scratch:: , did you water down the PVA or just mix PVA and mud,I am building a ww1 dio the mud is from Passchendaele its self, so are the twigs for the trees so I do not want to mess it up.Thaks Pete :thumb2:

Actually no.
For mud on a vehicle I allways use white glue, water and pigments.
That's more controllable and gives subtile results. :th:
