Hello guys. This would be my first time doing anything on a forum at all, besides checking out some other topics here on ISM.
I made a promise on ISM's Facebook group I would get more active here on the actual forum. So I will give it a shot by show you my hetzer.

At first, please forgive my bad english, I should had payed more attention in schoool. :P

So... I'm building a jagdpanzer 38(t) hetzer (Academy 1/35) and it will be standing on a small city-vinjet (?) with a housewall and The two figures that came with the hetzer-kit.

The assembly is almost done. Only the hatches and some photo etched parts left. (and The tracks which aint asembled yet)

Here comes some pictures of my progress this far. :-)

All types of criticism are welcome and thanks to all in the facebook-group that helped me with the pictures. :-)

I've been curious about that kit for some time Kevin, I'm interested to see how it builds up for you. Looks god so far.
I like the vignette idea as well. :th:

It's a good kit, the parts fits good together.
I'm a little worried about the tracks. I've used magictracks before but it's always more tracklinks than you need. But in this case I think it's just enaugh.

I'm glad you like it and I'm just as curious about the final result. :-P

There is still alot of work afront of me but I believe this will turn out really good. :-)

FINALLY! I found some time for my hetzer.
I have done some work with the vinjette but it is still alot of work left before I can even thinking of start painting it.
Image
Image
I think it looks allright but I should have thougt it trough a bit more in the first place.

Yeah yeah. The hetzer looks allright after priming and basecolor.
Image
Image
I used vallejos black primer. I have the white and gray too but when I tried the white and I almost destroyed my hetzer. (I have to get some new primers :-P)
Anyway... The black turned out okay and The next day I painted the dunkelgelb.
Image

I am really happy how it turned out. Exept for one thing. My airbrush started to "spit" So the paintjob is not that smooth. I dont know If it is me who is bad at cleaning my airbrush or If my needle is bent. Anyone got any tips?

The dunkelgelb is a mix of three vallejo air colors. Hemp, darkyellow and aged white. For highlights I used the same mix and added som more white, took a brush and painted som details.

Thanks for reading and I hope there will be more to post soon! :-)

Very cool stuff Kevin. Nice scratch work on the dio too.
Your brush may be spitting for several reasons, some of which are a bent needle or it needs cleaning. It may also be the paint drying on the tip or possible your paint is too thick or thin.
I usually start by checking the brush for problems, good cleaning and then and inspection.
Then if it looks in good shape I'll start looking at what my paint is doing.

Great job Kevin.
I love the Hetz and loved it more in WOT for creeping up on sleepy drivers and giving them a "nudge".
Your doing a great job mate.

Now are most the tools and other details painted. And I am pretty happy about the result, especially the rust on the exhaust.

It was like an experiment, I had never done this nor seeing someone else doing it. I came up with this while doing it. :)
I used three rust-colours (dark rust, light rust and yellowish rust) and some airbrush cleaner from vallejo.
Image
I drybrushed the dark colour first, quite heavy, then took some cleaner on a brush to make it more like a wash. Thanks to the cleaner the yellow start to shine trough the dark rust. Then I drybrushed the light rust and after that, drybrushing the yellowish rust.
In the end it looks like this:
Image
I am really happy because I have never really got that rusty tone before.

Here some more pictures of the rest I have done. I did some chipping with the 'light rust' as well but I am not sure if I will keep it like it is or redoing it.

Scratches on the skirts:

And then a question, did the suspension rust quickly?
Thanks! :)

Hello again!
This build was finnished in may this year. Some of you guys may have seen it on facebook.
Any who... i had forgot too post it here for some reson so i thought i would do it now.

I thought the wall turned out as sh*t so i decided to make it a forrest instead.
I used dead branshes and leaves to make the trees.
Here are some pictures.
