European Tram

This seemed like the appropriate place to post these. It's Miniarts European Tram kit in 1/35. It is probably one of the nicest kits I've assembled in a long time. Lots of parts, some of which are extremely delicate, but everything fits like a glove. I've left the interior bulkheads unglued to help with painting later and am toying with the idea to wire it up for lighting both the exterior and interior (would be a first for me).

Did a little more work over the past few days. It's not an overly complicated kit just hundreds of parts. Finished the lower truck and its ready for some primer as is the main body. Have to leave it open in order to paint the interior which was primarily wood on the original. I think a combination of acrylic and oils for the wood work.

Hey, have had my on this kit. What do you think about the detail of the kit? Its fairly expensive for the amout of plasic. Worth the money?

Hi, I can only speak for myself, but yes it was worth the money and there is a lot of plastic in that box. I have been very happy with the details and am impressed with the engineering because everything fits. It's not an easy kit to assemble because some of the parts are very small and there is a lot of clean up needed on the many sprue attachment points. I can also say that anyone building this kit needs to follow the instruction sequence and take their time. Lots of hours of modeling enjoyment

That kit looks awesome,I agree that some lighting would really take it over the top

Miniart do test you with some of their parts, but do make up a detailed kit, and its all about the fun, im looking forward to this to see how it works out and lighting would be awesome
