Ok so this is next on the bench while I wait for parts for the VK3001. The Revell kit is the reboxed ICM offering. As I'm currently reading the combat history of PzJag Abt.653 I'll probably do a Bergepanther from that unit. The early Bergepanther didn't feature a winch or earth spade. There were only a dozen or so Ausf D Bergepanthers, which were converted on the production line.

Here's a pic of one of the Bergepanther's used by Pz.Jag. Abt.653.

The decal options are for s.Pz.Abt 505 in Russia and Pz.Kag.Abt.654 in Germany in 1945.

I've got an Eduard upgrade set for it, which I've misplaced at the moment *sigh*

So I found my Eduard set. And one of the areas it enhances is this area below:

I'll show more once I've sorted it.

And here's the kit after some surgery. It's most definately an improvement:

After a long lay-off due to personal family problems I'm getting back into this build. Should have some progress to show you soon (hopefully)

Engineering tanks are always some of the most interesting builds with tons of 'in-use" possibilities.

I'll be watching with interest too.
