This is a model I an making to complement my Ardennes diorama. I deliberately chose the old kit because the figures are perfect for the diorama. On first inspection of the box the kit looked ok apart from the decals, that showed the age of the kit. There was a surprisingly small amount of flash for the age
There were five runners, 4 green plastic, 1 clear the moulding was ok but did not match the detail of modern kits.
Construction start and it was soon clear that the engineering was terrible and this kit would need some work. There was one bad fit on the back left hand corner of the jeep.
I decided to cover this with tissue paper soaked with a mix of water and Pva, to look like a cloth on the jeep. I'm not a fan of filler and this would be too awkward a gap to fill
I then completed the rest of the model and figures, I decide to leave off the trailer because it wouldn't fit in on the dio base
And this is the dio I will put in on, unfortunately I have no shot of it in the making
