Hi men, at ease

Here is a few pics of a P-51 Mustang seat I found on Mil web a number of years back.

I acquired from a gentleman in the Normandy region. Who stated his father (back in 1944) had recovered it from a belly landed P51 which was being torn up for scrap. He had kept it in his shed for nearly 65+ years.

When it arrived I was amazed at the good condition it was in, the original lap straps and various layers of zinc chromate and interior green on it.

Superb modelling reference

That's incredible. I can't believe how rudimentary they were, and how hard it must have been to undo that buckle when spinning towards the ground...

Good Job! that seat look real. Your paint chipping is right on, and the colors are exac.........What it's real?
Man had me fooled for a minuet there
