P51B/C Early D Mustang seat

Hi men, at ease
Here is a few pics of a P-51 Mustang seat I found on Mil web a number of years back.
I acquired from a gentleman in the Normandy region. Who stated his father (back in 1944) had recovered it from a belly landed P51 which was being torn up for scrap. He had kept it in his shed for nearly 65+ years.
When it arrived I was amazed at the good condition it was in, the original lap straps and various layers of zinc chromate and interior green on it.

That's incredible. I can't believe how rudimentary they were, and how hard it must have been to undo that buckle when spinning towards the ground...
