Going to be watching this one closely! I was tempted to do this kit as well, love Cubs in all their incarnations! As for taking up flying my only concern would be if you could pass the FAA physical. You might look into the Light Sport license though, no FAA physical for that. Just limits the types of aircraft and when/where you can fly. Something else I've been considering because a standard PPL is out of the question for me for various reasons.

Welcome to the GB Rube, that's a really interesting kit there I'll be watching with interest too, and wonder of days gone past why I didn't get to fly either. :)

I don't think I've seen one of these before, but that could be because I don't get out much  I'm interested to see how the home brew decals come out too.

I see you're using a small anvil, is this for those occasions when the beastie makes you feel like your avatar look like so you can teach it a lesson

...you can even make out the digits on the instruments.
Great find.the fact that they are individually mounted on really increases the realism.

Looking forward to the rest. Also, more anvil porn please, lol, just messing... its late...

we brothers of the anvil must remain strong, for there are many who covet the cast iron treasure of our man caves.

Ooooooh ME262 is my favourite, can't wait to see what you can do with it.

But I tend to look upon kits as Jigsaw puzzles, and working out how to make them fit is part of my sick and twisted idea of fun! That said, it is nice to give your frustration a holiday and make a well engineered kit every now and then. Plus none of my kits are as good as I'd like because I'm always trying to get the hang of new techniques, but one day.............

There is a ton of truth to that...you will go nuts if you think everything will fit together perfectly; I expect fit to be a problem from the outset, especially with certain manufacturers
Lots of support stuff is under engineered...this is why I have been playing with brass and silver soldering. A landing gear can be made much stronger as can suspension in cars....have a peek

You are getting there for sure, I was wondering how you were getting along
There was a question about Revell kits on the model chat section and I thought of your builds.
You should pop in there and tell em what you think

I stopped doing Revell as a kid, though I have a funny car and Mustang GT in my stash now but those will get heavily modified
