Hi guys,

it is some time from my latest post, but time for building is stretched. New work, moving... I got this kit for about 10 EUR.

I decided to update it. Some old Eduard PE and new turned barrel with resin parts. As it is Elefant I needed to work on the zimmerit coating. I bought paste similar to tile grout, but the particles are very fine.

Tomorrow I will work on some PE details to update the look of the beast :-)

An small update from today. I was working on the commanders cupola. Added the visors. Another thing added was a box on the exhaust... And some small bits here and there.

Thank you! Sometimes I need to get of the zimm, because there are some parts to be installed. Actually with the box... Thank god it goes down quickly with the water :-)

Thank you... And you are absolutely right. There is so much cleaning around and the fit is not like with Dragon.

There were some PE left on the fret, so I decided to make a change. All from the gunners periscope was sanded down and leveled with putty.

And here is the result. There is still some room for a work. A wire will be going around the hatch.

What a fantastic build and the detail is brilliant (and for a lover and hater of PE, your doing a great job).
I have a Elefant earmarked for a future build.
Great job mate.

Thank you! I think, that there everyone need to think about, what is he doing with PE. Some parts are better to be left with no change.

Which company is it? Dragon? Or someone else?

Wow, great job so far mate. Those PE additions really help add some much needed detail to the model.

The zimmeritt turned out great as well.

Thank you Gav! :-) Actually I counted how much I invested in it and it could be easily the new kit from Dragon :-D But on the other hand, you can not be scared, that you make something wrong :-)

And a new update... I broke yesterday my finger :bash: Hurts like a crap... Will see how long it will take... Need to think about how to work with it...

Blimey Hack, take care of that finger. That is gonna put the kibosh on work requiring dexterity.
Great work.
