1/32 f-4j Phantom Diorama

Post by Brundledonk »

I built this as my entry in a group build on another site, it's the Tamiya f-4j Phantom, I used an Eduard Big Ed set on this, and painted it in Lifecolor and Tamiya paints.
I extended the nose gear strut to show this in a ready to launch stance.
The deck is all scratchbuilt and was a bit of a labour of love for me in the end. It's in no way accurate, but i think it does capture the "feel" of the real thing, and I'm happy with how it turned out.
The tug is by Verlinden and the figures are from the Tamiya F-14 kit and the 1/32 academy Hornet
Apologies in advance if there are too many pictures

Pete

Absolutely stunning. I built a 1/48 scale a couple of months back. The F-4 is labor intensive but a very rewarding subject. Love the Jolly Rogers color scheme you chose. Plus, all the extras really make this thing pop.

Love the day and the night show, such detail and realism
But they keep steering the carrier into the house for some weird reason, they can't launch into it!
