Good morning folks. I hope all are doing well out there :)

Starting on my second 1/48 kit. Its a nice scale. Good for detailing without being overcomplex like the larger scales from what i have seen. For me that is. Personal (current) opinion and i reserve the right to change my mind on a whim :)

Enough babble... this is the kit

Contents of top opening box. Profipack includes PE (first time) and canopy masks (also first time but not as scary as PE lol), cartographer decals and eduard stencil sheet

I think you'll enjoy this kit Sergio, it's meant to be one of the best Spits out there and Eduard stuff goes together fine.... Maybe I ought to get one.. :D :pop:

The weekend is close and i hope i can get to it :)
Got no PE bending tool though so going to have take it easy and not be as impulsive as i usually am or it will be a mess ;)
Hope i can do it justice.
Have a good day :)

Will definitely follow along on this build, who doesn't like a Spit
Like to see if the kit brand lives up to its reputation in your eyes

Well so far it does budd! Im loving the different depths of the panel lines and the detail is the best i have encountered.

mind you i am a newb to the hobby having built only 1/72 scale before that bf109. ...and that was an Airfix, so dont have a huge amount to go by.

fit so far so good however wont go as far as say 'it falls together' as quite fiddly. Root cause could be sausage fingers.

Anyhow, gfs at the dentist (! ;) ) so i have 'bout an hour to model.

Thanks for popping by

Regards

I had the Eduard "Juggs Over Germany" kit in my hands at the LHS a couple of weekends ago...it was on sale and I was very tempted
But my Pocher exploits on E bay made me hesitate

DO lots of internal photos of your build....you won't see much after she is put together, unfortunately.
I have my Vietnam Huey dio here and can't see any of the pilots and detail work....but I just re-read the thread and got to see what I did :)

Thanks Scott and Nige :) nice to have you following.

Cant wait for 5pm to get outta work however not sure if ill work on it today. Got another project. Last weekend while gf and i were out fishing i found a shakespeare beach caster rod thrown out. Was missing top eye and shaft a bit cracked at the join. This is where modelling skills and equipment come in (so handy)
New top eye for a fiver glued in with CA. Shaft will need a tapered dowel and milliput and ill have a 60-90 qyid rod for a 5quid repair.

Im happy.

She is buried in a huge line up of other kits. They all bark at me every time I walk past the stash..."Build me build me"
