Meng 1/35 Panzerhaubitze 2000

Post by Hank »

For my next build, I will be making the Panzerhaubitze 2000 by Meng which I picked up at the Huddersfield model show a few weekends ago. The quality of the kit, right down to the instruction booklet is superb. It's a big box rammed with sprues and extras.

I really want to get started on this kit right now but I recently managed to break my cheapo airbrush last month. The result of that is between then and now, I've built two other models which are awaiting primer and paint, plus there's a Churchill that needs a spray of dust as one of the final stages of weathering.

Yes, that's not stopping me from building this, infact, building this is the only real thing I can do until I get my hands on a new AB but it just sort of feels wrong to break into the plastic wrapping with three incomplete models on the shelf. Am I the only one that feels this way? :D We'll see, maybe I'll feel differently and this thread will get a proper update sooner rather than later.

I managed to make room on my build queue to get started on this and I have to say, this is a well designed kit. The box is stuffed with plastic and goodies but it's actually a fairly uncomplicated build.

Just got the tracks to finish. I managed about 20 links so far but it's very tedious going, I must say.
