Hello guys,

The last kit on the bench at the moment. We started an Airfix GB in my club and I decided to build the Me 109 that Paul used in his videos. Hope to do as well as he did.

Off to a nice start Goose, its a good little kit that should build up with no real problems. Look forward to seeing how it comes together :thumb2:

Have fun with that! I was about to buy it and Amazon ran out. Now a seller carries it for a bit more than I could have gotten it. Blast.

Pfffff, PFOUUHHHH cough cough .PAF (bloody spider!)

Here is an update on this build

I even fond the time to pre-shade her for the war paint!!! ok i recognize it's not perfect by any means but it was my first time and I don't use my new evolution perfectly yet

Moreover, the fact that it's not perfect will add some variantions in the final result, i just hope to be able to not cover this pre-shading

I also worked a bit on a tank, I'll try to take pics ASAP

Thanks for having a look and the comments..if you feel like droppin a comment

Nice one Bruno. I'm not an expert at pre-shading but that looks fine from here mate.
Good luck with the rest of your build and enjoy your holidays.

Hey Goose, I agree a little rough on the pre-shading. I"m only two ahead of you for pre-shading experience, but man, my first one was pretty rough. Yours looks much better, mine was all wibbly wobbly and I couldn't hit paint on a line. You'll cover most of it up with the base coat, so no need to worry. You'll be amazed how much better the next one will be.

I found that if you can stabilize your aircraft so you are painting forward instead of down, it helps me (not completely worked it out yet). Additionally, I like to put my forearms on the table's edge and use two hands for pre-shading. I also use this method for painting really tiny things with a hairy stick. Press on, you'll have a lovely aircraft when it's done.

I was able to pick up this kit for $24, I will be doing the Galland version at some point. I just love the big yellow nose for some reason.

That pre-shading looks just fine! :th:

This is an ok kit, my first build when returning to the hobby about three years ago.
Goes together quite well. Only thing I remember are the gun ports in the wings moulded as separate pieces.
Fit was not perfect and took some work to blend with the wing, no biggie.

Looks like a nice clean build, pre shading looks good, great progress so far! :th:

:cheers2:

I need all the help I can get...
