Introduction from the Lowlands

Post by Richard »

:hi: Greetings from that little big country on the toher side of the North Sea :hi: . Where coffeeshops aren't quite meant for drinking coffe
I started scale moddeling many, many years ago. I guess around the age of 6/7. My first plane back then was a 1/72 scale swordfish from matchbox. I build lots of planes until I was about 18 or 19 and then lost interest beacuase of many reasons. About a 1.5 years ago I started modelling again and just love doing it. I've build 3 fighter aircraf since. (airfix 1/72 sabre, revell 1/48 A10 thunderbolt II and a Tamiya 1/72 A6 Intruder) and I am still learning the trades.
When I started moddeling again I searched a lot on internet and youtube for tips, tricks and howto's and found that the dutch websites weren't that great. Especially when it comes to aircraft modeling. On youtube I found all the great videos of ISM. Espacially the builds en howto's of Paul impressed me. So after subscribing on the video channel, I now also signed up on the forum. Hope I'll enjoy it.
My main interest at the moment are fighter aircraft, but would like to try modern armour in the future, me being a former army man and all :apc: . But I have list of aircraft I would like to build first. I'm not a fast builder, being busy with work and family life. But if I have a moment to spare...
Right now I'm building Academy's 1/48 Su-30mk Flanker. As soon as I have figured out de fotobucket bit, I'll start posting some pictures.
Well that's it for now. I'll see you guys on the forum.

Hi Rich, Welcome to the forum. For pictures I just take pictures with the camera on my phone. They auto backup to my gmail and link it from there. Free and easy.
