1/72 Hasegawa P-51D

Not normally my thing, 1/72, but I thought I'd buy some small models to practice spraying.

This is the first one up - the P-51D

I had already brush painted the cockpit with Humbrol enamels and as it's such a small model, I'm not going to bother priming it and repainting.

Cool! I'm working on the Academy 1/72 F-51 right now and its nice overall and it's detailed well for the scale. It fits together well also. The only thing I didn't like about it is the pose-able flaps are too fat for the plane. How are you finding the Hasegawa version in regards to detail and fit?

Dry fit seemed very good and detail is all there. Given it's size, I was surprised. I've primed this model, pre-shaded and primed again and the detail is still showing. I don't know if that's typical, but I was surprised.
