It's on the deck so I'm not sure you can call that a failed landing!

But good luck, I'll be watching this one. :pop:

Great idea navy planes always have a history of bad landing this should be nice

That looks like a great idea
A bit of a challenge i think as the internals will be exposed but very nice if it works out

I got to this a little too late. I was going to suggest making sure there is a little brown spot in the seat for authenticity! Looks a fantastic job so far, keep it up! :th:

Great job!: It's gonna look fantastic. How are you planning the base/diorama? I mean it will probably be a bit tricky to get the aircraft into that kind of posing and get the flying arresting cables there aswell. Good luck! :cheers2:

Looks cool with the decking detail added

In the real life situation, did the tail hook catch the edge of the carrier instead of the wire and rip off the tail OR did the tail section just fatigue and let go from the otherwise good landing???
Does this happen often???
Interesting subject

Thanks!

By the looks of it he came in too fast and the tail couldn't take it when it hit the arrester cable. I'm not sure if it happened often :thumb2:
