Revell SPz Puma in 1:35 scale

Post by HamilkarBarkas »

Hallo meine Freunde! :cheers2:

This is my latest finished model, the SPz Puma from Revell in 1:35 scale. The kit aswell as the real vehicle are brand new so it was interesting for me to build such a rather futuristic tank. The Revell kit was easy to build, it may not have the same amout of detail as the latest Trumpeter, Dragon or Tamiya kits but it is still a nice model and not too expensive. The only thing i did not like about it were the very soft rubber parts, the paint does stick to them not very well.

I painted the model using Revell acrylic paints. "Patafix" and aluminium foil was used for masking off the camo.
The mud splashes are done with MIG pigments mixed with water and wood glue. I dipped a brush into the "mud" and used my airbrush to splash the mud on the model. I made a tutorial video about it so i will post it down below. Give it a try, its a big mess but fun and the result looks amazing!

Very nice way of doing the mud splashes. Vielen dank for taking the time to demonstrate it on video for us!

Really good, looks like it's been rumbling along a muddy training area.

What tank/AFV has it replaced in the German arsenal, if any?

Excellent work again Hamilkar.
Most helpful how-to.
I've read about this method before but I've never seen it demonstrated.
Thanks for this.

Thank you all very much

Its the replacement for the Marder IFV. The replacement process started already, soon those Pumas will be a common sight.
