Humber Mk 4 Scratch Build

Hi guys,

While still waiting for my Panzer II to arrive,
I wanted to build something again and didn't wanna go out
to buy yet another kit that I wasn't really in to.

So I chose a cheap method: Scratch building!

I looked through my leftover parts and found a couple of wheels
and knew I still had a leftover Stuart turret laying around.
I thought of a British armored car and looked around which kinds there are.
I came across the Humber Mk 4, and started scratch building a little
vehicle resembling the Humber more or less.

I started with the hull.
Soon enough the turret of the Stuart turned out to be to big.
So I built the turret from scratch as well.
First I used part of the Stuart turret, resulting in it becoming to high.
So I took that part out and lowered the whole thing.

I used a metal Stuart gun and machine-gun and added all kinds of
props and parts that could pass for being parts of a Humber Mk 4.

And I had myself a little Humber.

Looking rather goofy with this big turret. :-)

That's better!

Painting the Humber in Desert War colors.

I'm not satisfied with the state it is in now.
It's just alright. But I would like to ad way more detail with some good ol' oil paint rendering.

cheers
