Back after a 42 Year Break

Post by Nige »

Hi Guys, just a quickie to say hi. I've recently got back into modelling 42 years after building my last model. In those heady days models soon ended up covered in gluey finger prints with various bits broken off. Who else remembers building 1:72 scale aircraft and then shooting them down with the trusty air rifle? Recently though, I have found that modelling has changed immensely from those days and I admit, I have spent many weeks researching techniques and methods via ISM videos and more recently members videos which have been a great help and great inspiration. So, the man cave is now equipped, my first Spitfire in many, many years is under construction and life has new meaning. I now need to work my way through all the threads to soak up all the info I can from you guys. Looking forward to comparing notes with everyone.

Welcome Nige :welcome: .
Well I returned to the hobby after 50 years (I think)!! And now, I have to get used to the idea that the plastic parts are not just there to hold the glue together!! :eeek:
It's an entirely different modelling paradigm!
