I was really tempted by this kit, how is it?
if I'd not 'come across' my Swordfish it was a toss-up between this and the Trumpeter 1:48 Sea Fury

It's a lovely kit - I've one in my stash.
So have you changed your opinion of Airfix then?

No they still suck, their business ethics of reboxing older kits in newer boxes is shocking imo.
They make a handful of decent kits though

Airfix is not the only culprit - so do Revell, Hasegawa and Italeri. Sometimes the Revell kits are really old Monogram or Matchbox kits.
I'm not trying to convert you to Airfix - just pointing out that to many companies with a large back catalogue periodically wheel out their old kits. I've been bitten a few times and I slowly learned to check the internet or magazines first when it comes to all four of these companies. If you do regularly buy Airfix kits you know in advance what are new tools and what are not, but it can really hurt the new or returning modeller.
While they can make lovely kits, I really hate the way Hasegawa wheel out old kits with new decals and charge the earth (and then expect you to buy stores for them!).
