I didn't think I had anything in the stash for this GB I was looking at doing the airfix lynx but that was for 2006. Then I got this down to do for a second entry for the In the Navy SIG and I noticed the last version was for an aircraft from the 1950 so here it is.

And the version I'll be doing.

I'll post the sprue shots with some history later

Cracking choice of colour
I built one same scheme Late last year
http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... =34&t=9803
It goes together very nicely
One tip, if you are going to use the long range fuel tanks then put the wing number decal on before attaching the tanks
Good luck hope you enjoy the build as much as I did :cheers2:

Great choice, i have both of the airfix seafire kits.

Does this have the same canopy fit issue that Paul found on his build of the other airfix seafire?

Hi Guys sorry its been a while but i sort of lost my mojo for this build plus working away the last month or so has not given me time to do a proper update on this.

So while ive got a few spare mins at work id thought id do it now.

To be honest i just threw this together with not much weathering in the cockpit because i think the aircraft would had been quite well looked after with not being on operations so to speak. so has you can see the fuselage is all closed up with the wings on
Image

There was a small gap just in front the cockpit which i used my steyrene glue and that will be left to harden a couple of days before i attack it with the sanding sticks.
Image

And has alwasy i have found when building spits there is more often than not a gap where the wing meet the the rear belly of the fuselage. which i filled with some sheet steyrene. and ill go over that with some other filler soon.
Image

Well that's the lot for now guys.
