Global Scale Modeller

So a bit late to start a thread on this as I'm to the paint phase, but everything after the base coat is what gets interesting.

I got this kit and jumped in to it the very next day I think, never done that before. I did so as to get in on and catch up with Alexander Richards-Marshall's Nashorn GB on Youtube. some of the Razor Edge parts were warped when I got the kit. So I was worried it would go together at all.





So I couldn't stand the idea of not knowing if it could be built up well, so I started. I cranked through most of it in 2 or 3 days.



Started finishing her up this weekend with the Magic Tracks.



Here's some interior bits.



I did this bit with the wire, PE and springs on the hangout yesterday. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.



No fancy Badger primer for me yet as it's too expensive honestly, so I primed her in XF-1 last night.



And just today I've been working on getting her base coat done with XF-60. I'm aiming for her to be just Dunkelgelb, but mid range muddy, and rather chipped up.



Also I did one update on her after the weekend build up of the major bits.

Looks awesome - I like the stance of this vehicle. I'm doing the cyber hobby's command version.

Thanks OD, really cruised through the first bit then hit a wall like I always do with Dragon kits.

Thanks. I've seen yours, it's in a winter wash right? I can always see it itty bitty on the hang outs. Looks really good from what I can see.

I've looked at a Nashorn kit for years......and now...THANKS TO YOU!!! I have to buy one...

Glad I could help. I was never sure which Nashorn to get, this one or the premium, but I'm glad I went with this one. The premium has some really fiddly PE and way less crisp new styrene. I'm more of a plastic guy. And as I said in the video, all of the parts from the older version of the kit are in there as spares.

Nice looking vehicle so far. Fantastic!

Great build! Have the same templates and the same issues as you with the wheels. Work with some kits but hardly all. Easy to bend and it gets everywhere. I held it down with blue tack but still it sux. Take care

So it's not just me. Very good to know.

Great work. Pegs to hold the tracks in position. Very clever.

Thanks, I can't take credit for that trick though. I've seen lots of guys do it.
