This is the personal mount of luftwaffe ace Hans Joachim Marseille. The last photo shows an incomplete pic of the build. It is there to show the underside's weathering

Yes marseille claimed 151 victories in north africa until his untimely death on 30 Sept 1942 while under the command of eduard neumann. This photo below of eduard neumann and his 109 may also include hans playing cards with eduard.

Cracking 109s both of them!
Neumann was Marseilles mentor, can You believe he died in 2004, at 93 years old!
He protected Marseille and allowed him to develop his unorthodox tactics to perfection.
Also allowing his flamboyant life style...most agree he was the most talented fighter pilot that ever flew in the LW.
