I started something new, well pretty old really.

Still got its price on of 40p and the shop, Gills Hobbies of Sutton Coldfield has closed over 35 years ago

Make sure you do a good job of it. I've waited years to be able to say
"NICE BEAVER" to some one.

surprisingly very few - it's an old kit - 30+ years and gone together as if it were new
bit of flash here and there oh and some heavy rivet detail which I've reduced, but overall pretty good
it's supplied with water floats and snow skis but they will be in the spares box as i'm modelling the RAF version

Ahh ok I'm thinking of starting it as a weekend kit but don't think my decals could be used

Great build, a favoured plane of mine
The Beaver Float Planes are used extensively in British Columbia remote areas for fishing resorts, forestry that kind of thing
They fly some right out of Stanley Park and over the Lion's Gate bridge for sightseeing tours

Great little model, will be great if Airfix get enough support to re-release, might enen get another one for a float plane version
