1/48 Tamiya HE 162 Diorama

This is the Tamiya 1/48th HE 162 with ICM figures.

I used Tamiya and Vallejo paints and a dark dirt wash on the aircraft to weather and enhance panel lines.

The engine has been enhanced using lead wire for tubes and wires and the cockpit livened up using the Eduard PE set.


The base is scratch built using lolly sticks, DAS clay and static grass. The chocks are scratch built from bits of resin block and lead wire.

Your Dio is not great...its EPIC! Great work on the engine details, nice figures too :thumb2: I have always loved the HE 162.

Figures, aircraft, landscape ; a wonderful diorama all round.

Great Diorama , just have to love the cigarette smoke detail ! :th:

A great build full of small great details , have it in my stash , wish I can make something so good out of it as you did !

Great model and I really like the base. The figures really add to it and tie it all together

That's amazing. I'd have a lot of trouble painting figures in 1/48 but you've got 'em looking spot on.
