Coen's Answer to Spring, build a Mosquito. Reveal

Post by Coen »

The end is nigh.
I'm not totally happy with this build, but I'm happier than I have been with other aircraft that I've built.
So that's something.
The canopy is a complete failure, but the rest is near enough to what I was going for to make me happy.. ish

Glad to help.
I've used a brush to apply it to small things like figures and landing gear, but it doesn't work as well.
Flat varnishes are clear coats with a powder suspended in them, most seem to work best when sprayed.
Testers Dullcote comes in a rattle can as well as a regular bottle. It works just as well as the alclad.
I would recommend that if you don't have an airbrush.

Looks the biz, Mike, I'd be totally happy with it if it was mine! :cheers2:

Great choice with the scheme and the subtle weathering really looks the part. :th: :th:

Lovely weathering. Was the canopy just a poor fit? Doesn't look like it's sat on the a/c properly.
Regards, Dave.
