After registering 5 minutes ago, here's some pictures of some figures I've finished since I've started painting.
Just started this hobby 6 months ago, so any tips and pointers are welcome.



One of my earlier Grey Knights. Could have done better, but for a first time painter, I could have done worse. Couldn't figure out how to paint force weapons though...



A few Ultramarines. Got myself some better brushes and was able to take it easy and enjoy the paiting process in stead of depserately wanting to finish as quickly as possible.




The first of my Blood Angels terminator. I decided to base with Khorne red in stead of Mephiston red to get a more dark colour. I just don't want to be them to be too bright or "cartoony". This one took me 6 hours i think

First of all, welcome to ISM mate, glad to have you on board

Secondly, as these are your very first figures and you are painting for just 6 months, these are looking great already.
I wonder how your paining skills are after another 6 months!

You can find a lot of hints and tricks here, and people on this community are very helpful so don't hesitate to ask

Welcome to ISM.

I was a 40k player for many years (gave it up now when I returned to scale modelling). For having painted for 6 months these are top notch mate. Your putting highlights on and everything.

If your after some tips, then here are some basic ones.

1. When edge highlighting, use the edge of the brush, not the tip, you will find you get a neater line that way.
2. Make sure you remove the mouldines as once the model is painted they stand out, and can ruin what is otherwise a great paintjob.
3. Base your models. Some simple sand glued on the bases then painted some earth tones will really help make your models pop.
4. Matt varnish your models too. I found that this helps tie the model together and often makes them look even better.
