KTH ev11 Formula SAE car

Post by JonMW »

Did this as a quick "build" for my former race team. They had a 3D print of their current car that I offered to paint for them. It needed a lot of sanding to get a sort of smooth finish on it and I had to scratch build the wings and wheels as they where just too bad from the 3D printer. Was a pretty fun thing to do that only took three days. It would have been nice if I had a few more days so I could have made some better wheels and added a bit more detail, but they needed it for the competition. I hope they can print one more that I can spend a bit more time on.

The real car.

Great Work!
I know how rough 3D prints are, because I have worked with 3D printed parts my self on my Lend Lease Truck.
It does take an exceptional amount of sanding to get even close to smoothness. And yours is as smooth as a mirror!

cheers
