So looking at everyone's builds made me get an at-St it's a really great kit perfect fit and still remains articulated,
Started building it yesterday 11/7 and it's nearly completed I'm really enjoying the build I thinking about adding something different to just out of the box not sure where it's going to end up but hopefully different








Painted the cockpit and added a few spare decals to make it look a bit better splashed a mix of mud brown and light dirt Ultimate washes it looks ok

Update time put on a few do dadds and a few pieces of tubing to simulate hoses a rocket and the barrel of a machine gun for the aerial so here is how it sits now going to leave it overnight and have a look tomorrow mabe put some more bits on or take some off not sure hope you like it

So it's been awhile since an update (life can be a pain) it's all been painted chipped blah blah then came to whethering started off a treat some rust and dust and stuff then a clear then a few days off then I thought I would do a mild oil wash not much at all and having already seen Paul have a few issues with his I thought I would ignore everything he said and plod on well it all looked great done it,hit it with the hair dryer to help it dry thought I had it Sussed went to bed very happy with myself woke the next morning for work to a quick look over at it to bask in my glory to see a pile of plastic where my at-st stood couldn't do anything with it then till I got home and by then the damage was truly done I did manage to save it but alas it no longer moves it's not quite done with yet but have made some good progress over the last couple of days opened up the front windows put some more wires on a bit more dust and got the base done so it looks a bit more other worldly hopefully it will be done soon till then happy modeling the last three pics were done messing about with the settings on my phone done in negative style it shows up all the chipping which was all done with Vallejo silver it looks cool so might start taking a few shots like it in future

You did good, I'd have half expected to have seen this thing launched off your garden..... you must like it... lol..

I'm really glad that you saved it Dan. It looks none worse the wear.
So well done on the build and even more well done on the save.
It's really too bad about that reaction and the bandai plastic.
It makes things a lot more difficult for the traditionalists for weathering.
I used turpenoid for mine and it didn't react at all, so maybe it's one of the few thinners that will work.
It's unfortunate that it's also expensive as Hell.

Yes mate I think I've grown attached to it now it's been staring me down for months lol it's not that far off finished just change a few things and maybe the base a bit I'm thinking

Cheers Mike it is a shame about the plastic but you live and learn, it would be nice if I can get hold,of a few more but looks doubtful at the moment till revell releases their versions, I would have liked to have it in a different position but hey ho it could have been worse and I think I need some of that turpenoid

Small update changed the base didn't think the original would hold it up properly as it is a little top heavy made a lot of progress over the last day or two,
