KV-1B Winter Camo

Post by hansolo »

Hi guys,

Here is my 3rd entry in the holiday series. The KV-1B. 1/72 scale.

Box art:

The instruction sheet:

The sprews:

Lower hull:

Wheels assembled:

Tracks assembled. They were hell to glue on there.
I had to cut of half the sprockets teeth to make the tracks fit around them.

Turret and upper hull assembled:

Details assembled:

Base colour:

Detail painting. Well there isn’t much detail to paint. :-)

Did the white winter wash with strongly deluted acrylics so that it would creep up in some places
which gives the illusion of wear/chipping.
And did some snow effects on the tracks with thick acrylics.

The rest of the weathering I did with oil paints. And some graphite for metal looks.

That’s it for the KV.

Next up:
I’ll be joining the KV with the Half Truck on a winter dio.

cheers
Cheers
