Hello, from South West England

Hi Guy's
My name is Les, and I am a retired screen printer (printed circuits), and engineer, gear cutter and quality control inspector.
Made my first model when I was 11 years old, Which just happened to be the first aircraft kit Airfix released in 1955, the good old Spitfire about 20p in todays money
made anything and everything (except buildings) plastic and wood, until 1970 when I got married and the family had to come first, after a break of about 35 years my son comes in with a little present for me, yes, it was a Airfix model Spitfire 1/72, now I'm back on the band wagon. So almost at 71 years, It's time to start again. So if any of you Guy's have any tips on how to obtain a good enough finish with brushes, (Don't own an airbrush, and couldn't afford one anyway) It would help. And the worst part of it is, I live in quite a big city (near Bristol ) and we don't have one model shop in the whole of the city, so if I want anything, I need to order it on-line, more expense .
Anyway, glad I found you guy's looks like a good forum, and the YouTube ISM vids are a good source of information. So that's it for now.

Correct my friend, The last model shop closed about 2 years ago. Now a Chinese/Japanese tea shop
Frome is out of my reach I'm afraid, I'm disabled with leg probs. But the hands are fine. onwards and upwards
