Started today, Trumpeter 1/35th Tiran-6
Work starts with the road wheels - nice details on these, with separate tyres
Next the deflector plates and the boxing on the rear hull
complete with the infantry communication telephone
Added the running gear
finally added the details to the glacis plate. Need to reposition the PE tomorrow a little as the brackets are too high.

Nice kit!
Is the suspension workable?

No - the suspension is fixed on all the Trumpeter T-62 variants, but fits together nicely nonetheless.

Today's fiddling - first glued the wheels in place. I wasn't going to do this, but the idler wheels are quite a sloppy fit so I glued everything in place first.
Then onwards with the tracks - started with the left side. 95 links per side for the individual links
Then make up sections gluing them, then while the glue is still soft mold into place. Leave the halves disconnected so that I can remove the tracks for painting.
One more to go next weekend.

Hey, I thought it looked like a Russian tank too. Just didn't want to say so as I'm a noob when it comes to armour!
Love the track work Sir, looking forward to the rest of the build.

Cool deal about moving the tracks while still soft. I was wondering how one gets sag in OOB stuff

Today's work on the Tiran.
First a repeat of last weekends work - only the right track this time
Then fitted the intake meshes and the fenders
Then on with all the stowage, and the cables - and construction of the lower hull is finished

Today's work - started by assembling all the 'furnature' for the turret
Then Trumpeter's attempt at a 50 cal - it's not bad, but i've been spoilt with the Tasca ones
Then the Basic T-62 turret - pretty clean before the IDF got hold of it, and welded everything in the universe onto it.
Then after the welding, the turret looks like this
All finished apart from a couple of 30 cals to add next weekend. I half expect at some point the IDF have added a kitchen sink to one of their vehicles.

Today's work on the Tiran - first added the extra MG's, 2 30cals and 1 50 cal.
Then primed with Alclad Grey Primer
On with the Ammo IDF Sand Grey, thinned slightly with AK Nitro thinner and it sprayed nicely
Then picked out the details - MG's, spare Tracks, tow cables etc.
Finally for the day a coat of Klear over the top, so it's ready for decals tomorrow

Then while it's glossy, added a pin wash
Next a satin varnish coat
Fitted the tracks with a minimum of swearing
Then 2 filters - Ochre and Grey
Finally a matt coat over the top

Israeli armour can be confusing , they make a lot of conversions on other countries vehicles and had a lot of armour left over/abandoned after the various wars with their Arab neighbours .
Tiran 5 is a T-55 conversion Tiran 6 is a T-62 I'm told is pronounced Tiy-Rea-n ? a bit more useless info for ya
