I bought this for my brother on his birthday. He isn't able to do things like this himself. He was hit by a drunk driver when I was 12 and spent a year in a coma. He can do stuff, but it can be very difficult for him sometimes. Things like a model are almost impossible to do. Not because he cant build it, with the exception of the smallest parts, he has trouble keeping focus. Plus he would get frustrated at himself.

So, this year, on his 50th birthday, I sat down with him and began helping him with his tank. We spent the next three weekends working on it. We got to the paint and it made him nervous. He was afraid he would mess it up. I told him if you don't like how it turns out then we can strip it and start over.

So we made up a scene he could imagine on what the tank was doing. He came up with "Its in a dry and hot area, with swamps, and didn't get taken care of. Kind of like being in Florida. I just went with it. :) The he carefully picked the colors, very carefully. We had a blast building it. I had fun spending time with my brother.

BTW, its a Walker Bulldog for a reason. When I asked him why he wanted that one he said its small, like us, and because it was tough, like us, and because "Merica". I bought laughed myself silly.

I hope you all like it. Well, here she is.

You should try to make that scene he imagined on a diorama he may enjoy that too! This looks great.

Awesome work, the build and the paint job is top notch!! Well done to both of you in creating a quality work and more importantly, quality time together which is priceless. Let your brother run away with his imagination on a dio together. :cheers2:

We might try to. I'm not sure how it could be pulled off, but its definitely worth a shot.

It was a lot of fun for both of us. It was hard to figure out how to get it to look that way. What other people see as a mistake, I used to create the texture. He loves it, not just because its a tank and its cool; but because we did the work together and it means the world to him.

Kool!! Excellent job! I like Walker Bulldogs

P.S My brother would never build a model with me, not his cup of tea, but what he did do with me was teach me how to ride a skateboard a bike and gave me tips on the computer games we both played.Of course he laughed when I fell from the bike and board and when I died (In a game) but that's what brothers do right :nena: We may not always get along but there was never a time when I wished he was gone.
