Hi guys,

A new addition to the oddling collection.
The Tacam T-60.

The TACAM T-60 (Self-propelled Anti-tank Gun) was a Romanian tank destroyer used during World War II.
It was built by removing the turret of captured T-60 light tanks and building a pedestal to mount an ex-Soviet
76.2 mm (3.00 in) M-1936 F-22 field gun in its place.
A three-sided fighting compartment was built to protect the gun and its crew.
Thirty-four were built in 1943, and they served in the Jassy-Kishniev Offensive, and the Budapest Offensive.

Here are some old pictures of Tacam T-60's:

I looked around and to my knowledge there is no 1/35 scale kit of this vehicle. There is a 1/72 scale one.
So that means that I'm building a oddling again.

There are some guys who did build this vehicle in the same way as I am doing though.
And they are great references to copy from.

This one is by Mr. Gazola:

This is the kit of the T-60 that I bought for it:

The sprews:

The instruction sheet. Only the first sheet came with the kit. And no decals.
Luckily it's an easy build.

And this is the kit that I bought for the gun. This one hasn't arrived yet.

I started with the chassis:

This is the upper hull of which I had to cut away the part where the gun will be.

Part cut.

Closed of the drivers hatch.

Hull finished.

Image

Added wheels, tracks and scratch build fender supports.

Image

Image

Build amo storage compartments.

Image

Image

Build the gun cleaning rod.

Image

Built the back compartments.

Image

Image

Built the super structure.

And that's where she's at.
Next up is the metal frame that goes on top and hopefully soon the gun will get in.

cheers

hansolo I've heard Cohen mention you before and how great you are at scratch building. He was not wrong, not at all. Amazing work sir. You have a great imagination and the ability to put it to sprew.

But here we are with already the final update and reveals!

I installed the gun.

Some wash reconstruction work with oil paints. And some more oil paint rendering.

Then came Pigments, put some straps on the bars, made a cover and some stowage from Milliput and she was done.
