Oil/Enamel washes for aircraft

Post by portonion »

Hi dudes/dudettes.

I'm normally an armour builder, but I'm giving winged things a go, but I'm a bit stumped for pin washing.

Do you guys wash the rivets as well as panel lines?

Same stuff as your Armour stuff.... either home made using artist oils diluted with Turpentine or white spirit of your choice to the right consistency... and apply as per normal! or go with pre-made stuff of a complementary colour to your camouflage or base coat !

make sure your work is protected under a good quality Acrylic Clear Coat !
but you just need to match the Aircraft color scheme...

Happy modelling ! :cheers2:
