Hi guys,
A progress report.
Sprockets
Front wheels
Shassis. A lot of parts!
Tow hook
More done on the shassis
Wheels attached
The floor
Tracks finished and dry fitted.
I was able to glue the tracks in a way that they remained workable! By carefully glueing
the rubber patches to the 'metal' parts. This comes in handy for painting and attachment later on.
Floor and mud guards attached
Cabin floor completed
Cabin installed. The PE steering rod attachments are a nice detail!
The build as far as I have to build it to get to the stage where I start scratch building the parts for the conversion.
From PS plate I made a small extension to the floor and constructed the amo bin.
That's where it's at right now.
Next up, more scratch building.
Cheers

Hi guys,
Did some more work on the hull.
From wire I made little handles.
The handles sit on the doors to the engine.
Sides, hood and frontal armor installed.
That's all for now, folks.
Next up: Constructing the gun mount.

Hi guys,
More or less finished the building process.
Started off on building the 88.
First parts.
The barrel.
The gun mount.
Barrel mount construction.
Completed mount structure.
Armor plate needs to be cut to size to resemble the halftrack mounted one.
Cut to size and lower armor plate added.
Build completed with gun mounted. Added amo cartridges, shovel and jack and the barrel support.
That's all for now, folks.
Next up: Painting!
cheers

Hi guys,
A sudden final update.
I guess I just kept on working until it was done.
I did:
- oil paint rendering - used the new AK washes voor rusting the wheels - used pigments on the hull and gun - used my new gun metal pigment from Vallejo for metal shine (and I like it a lot!) - used toilet paper with white glue and water for the tarps - roots with oregano for branches and mosquito net for camo net - added some figures and gave 'm something to eat and drink.
I liked this picture of the halftrack at the side of the road where the guys are awaiting orders.
So I wanted to recreate this feel.
Here are the final picts:
