Another truck I've been working on concurrently with my Mirror Models Diamond T Dump Truck. Making far better progress with this one....

Some initial weathering with oil washes mostly on the undersides





Added the cargo body to the frame. Still need to paint the cab interior and decal the dash. Waiting for my Archer set in the mail.



Main parts now with a clear gloss coat. Once dry I'll do my decals and then the normal washes and filters to dirty it up.

About done. Pre-weathering. Not perfect and I'm sure I've missed something. Still needs a little dirt and dust. Nice kit and enjoyed building it. Have the hardtop version in the stack still to do. Yep, just noticed; still need to do all the marker lights - oops.

Looks fantastic- really precise and a great finish. What do you think of Mirror Models kits?

Thanks for the comments. Will post some final pics once its all done. Not a huge fan of Mirror. Lots of work needed on fit issues but I will say the details are very good and they do subjects I'm interested in.

Thanks! This kit is from Hobby Boss. I'm still working on my Mirror Models - it is the Diamond T 972 Dump Truck. Mirror Models are very detailed, lots of parts but need a lot of TLC

You are a perfectionist , great build.
Not sure if it is just me , but has Hobbyboss over done the woodgrain. I have had this kit in my wish list for a while now.

The woodgrain is a bit on the heavy side now that you mention it. I've got the hard top version still to do which has the same cargo body. I'll probably rub that down a bit.

Great painting job...mix alot of the right colours.
