You could have "chipped" the prop it's looking so crisp and clean in my opinion.

Hmmmmm.....point taken on the prop, I'll get to it soon! Maybe it's a new prop on an old plane? -

The chipping is something I picked up years ago where you paint the kit in your favourite silver/aluminium, I use Tamiya rattle-can AS-21 'Bare Metal Silver' Whatever medium it is, coat it in Klear/Future. Then when dried apply an oil based enamel top coat (in this case Olive Drab - Hu155 I think) and leave no more than an hour before taking strips of sticky tape such as Sellotape and pulling at the top coat with varying degrees of severity. Try it on some scrap plastic and you will be amazed at the effect you can get....

If the enamel top coat is left much longer than 60mins it begins to cure and adhere itself to the clear 'undercoat'.
It's all about dissimilar paints not sticking well to each other and the above method seems to work best for me - Try it, you'll be surprised.

Nice work mate love the chipping. Plus i kinda like the fresh look on the prop could be a new prop on a new plane.
