Good Morning - from a sunny Cambridge

Hi All, hope you're all well and having a good weekend! I'm Matt from unseasonally mild Cambridge. I must confess that I have sinned and not built a model kit in the last 15 or 16 years when I was in my early 20's. How time flies by, when I was last building models I was brush painting with both Humbrol Enamels and towards the end had discovered LifeColor acrylics in Transport Models Preston. If I remember correctly I was building the Tamiya 109 E at the time and LifeColor offered all the correct RLM colours needed. Since then I have moved back down south(ish) and all but abandoned modelling. Upon moving into my new home in 2014 I discovered a box full of partially built Tamiya Spitfires and my old tool chest full of old paints and glues. Bored one day at work I was browsing Hannants website and saw the Eduard Profipack Spitfire Mk IX and just had to have it; and there started my recirculation into modelling again. I'm going to hasten a guess and say when I open my old tool chest full of paints and glues that most, no all will end up in the bin. I have made the decision to avoid enamels all together and stick with acrylics. Hopefully I have been a good boy and Santa will be bringing me the AK paint pack for RAF WW2 colours and a few other modelling goodies. Then in Jan I will be buying and aibrush and compressor in order to start building the Eduard Spitfire I'm desperate to build.

Thanks Paul, it was just a few junctions up the M6 from where I used to live in Warrington. Unfortunately in Cambridge there is no model shop any more since the guy that owned R&D models retired, my local model shop is now either Hannants in Lowerstoft or London. Fortunately for me there is also internet based model shops too!
