What kind of backdrops do you use?

Post by planemaker »

Hi there. Time and time again I have searched for a good looking backdrop for my photos.
I simply don't like the look of a white backdrop, but I do prefer black ones. I've seen Paul using a black backdrop
(black paper) on a couple of his photos. But for me I can't really find big enough paper backdrop to fit my models.
So my question is what kind of backdrop is a "good looking one" for larger models?
Some photographic advise is also very welcome, I just got a new camera for Xmas. :)

Thanks in advance. :cheers2:

...and some other stuff too.

I know its an old thread.

How big do you need the backdrop to be? You are working with scale models right? Maybe buy black fabric by the yard or meter. Or buy cheap muslin and paint it black.
