Just a simple build I hope. Something to tie me over until the 2016 builds commence.

These Limited Editions are great. A packed kit.









There are two pieces of PE parts, the colored one shown, and the plain metal one, not shown.

First order of business, as with every aircraft kit I am aware of, is the cockpit. This kit has very nice details right out of the box. The color PE just sharpens that up. And unlike some color PE, this set actually has some contours to it, meaning it is not a 2D representation that sometimes can look less than acceptable, in my opinion. This is a good thing.





Resin rear wheel assembly - a perfectly fitting addition, which still needs some careful work to clean it up to meet my expectations.



PE is a vast improvement, imo, otherwise it would be pretty stark.

Quick update to the cockpit build...it is all together so far and holding together.

I discovered a great use for "sprue glue" - you know the stuff...melted styrene in the old bottle of TET of some other liquid plastic cement, anyway...I discovered if you use a little dab, very carefully placed so as not to overflow onto detail or just look messy, place the PE into the liquid plastic and once fully cured, it will be embedded in plastic, never to fall off. Thought I'd pass that along to y'all. It also works great for attaching plastic to plastic pasts as well.

Anyhoo...on to the show.

So, first things first, again. PE pilot harnesses needed to be put together and then added to the pilot's seat as instructed.





Almost ready to put on the seat.









And here's the pilot's seat with harnesses attached..using CA glue, not sprue glue.







Now I have put all the pieces together for the cockpit so far, according to the instructions, with details already painted. All it needs now is a gloss clear coat and a wash or two, and dry brushing.
