Global Scale Modeller

Hi all, I bought this about a year ago and had intended building it sooner but I got sidetracked by other kits I started this as I was getting burned-out working on another project and wanted to do something fun and quick (for me at least, I don't do fast).

This kit was new tooled in 2012 so the detail is quite good but I also got a little PE to dress-up the cockpit a bit as the canopy will be open and I don't think the decal IP will look that good even though you'll probably need a magnifying glass to see anything anyway.

Theres only one scheme so that saved the problem of choosing which one to do


The PE I used (I'd already started using the PE before I took the photo) and a paint mask because I'm lazy


And this is what the little bestie looks like






There are a few mistakes but this was a learning build and I tried a few techniques that worked quite well and I'm looking forward to trying out on future builds. This was a fun build and even an OOB build will make a nice little model and I would recommend it to anyone.

The white does grow on you doesn't it although I'm doing yellow on the next 109, although the nose on this one is a paler version of the blue on the side and underside of the fuselage (RLM 65), 50/50 white & blue but I think I should have gone lighter... oh well, next time.
