Well here it is, my entry to the 'Russia with love' group build



The idea is to make a diorama around it, but the end build will be re used in to the 'Storch Down' project in which shows one side of the theory of what happened to Major Reichel on the Eastern front in June 1942.



The sprue are ok nothing much to say either way, neat and tidy







Shouldn't be to hard a build really lets see how it goes. and see what i can add as well

Well not much done at the moment due to family commitments but here is the progress so far




The engine really did not go well alot of cleaning and mucking about.




on looking over the kit a little closer there is some major cleaning needed and it really does not look like the easy build i had hoped for. But hoping to put some time in to get this one done as the bench is really filling up with lack of time and mojo suffering

Been away from the bench to much as its been the last week of the mother in law's visit. But here is the latest update

Engine is now primed and ready for paint as with the body frame and back of the truck

work is slow as time on the bench is not what i would call free....

Well hoping to get this finally put together at the bench today finally. This is the first kit I have used an airbrush on and trying some new techniques. Hoping to get some pictures up later..

I had been quite kind about the amount of flash but as I have gone along with it it has been a bit of a pain, the Zvezda kit is what it is.

So sometime at the bench, although while multi tasking

Suspension and steering rack on completing the under side and engine fitted





Steering looks wrong and is a nightmare to fit together

Still not sure on the color looks right but

Well a small update.

Wanted to try some weathering and different ways of getting the effect. So using pigment and decal fix, something i have never done before but managed to get this done.

Well today been trying to button this up, but the cab and body is a complete nightmere







want to left the door open to be able to see inside and maybe a little aid to the story line.

But the roof has proved so hard to line up and make fit have to look at giving up and starch build the canvas lid.

Finally in the den, now I'm feeling better and tried to get my head around the replacement canvas roof.

Well got some paint down on it, think it is looking ok but will leave it alone and maybe repaint. the colour is not easy to match

Finally managed some time in the den, after a very busy birthday weekend..

well with just a few bits and pieces to go may just get the beast together not i will be able to finish the paint work all done today but so close.

Yep update soon just as soon as I get to the bench, been very slow but has had some movement will add the pics later.
