The suspension looks a lot like the T34 I'm building.
Like the little tool to line out the suspension bars they supplied in the kit.

Got some more work done on the tank.

Used the template to help to locate the suspension.


Tool case and fuel drum assembly. Will be priming the fuel drums so I can deal with any seam lines.



NOTE this is the stage where I boobed. I blame the instructions. I drilled every possible hole, lol.




You will easily see the two white spots where I applied some filler. Didnt need these two holes.


Photo etch grills and other details added to the rear of the hull.

I have been doing some work on my tank, while also taking photographs. What I am a bit slow at is posting pictures etc.

So here is my latest post.

Instructions told me to drill an hole on both sides of the hull. I did, but the "destruction's" didn't give a measurement of how high, or low, I had to drill. There wasn't even a mark on the inside showing where I should drill. As the picture shows I had to drill it twice.


In the following it shows where it was my own fault. I should have read the instructions with a fine tooth comb. Drilled holes on the left and right side of the hull. My bad, only needed them on the right.


Time to start on the two piece barrel.



Primed both the barrel and the four fuel drums, along with the wheels. For the barrel and fuel drums I did this so I could check the seams. I used Badger stynelres black primer.



The fuel drums and the barrel did need some work done to them. Liquid green stuff, vallejo filler and some sanding sticks were needed.

Started assembling the turret.



Here you can see the work I have done on the barrels seam.


Some of the detail that has been added to the turret. The rear machine gun is free moving.



Time to make a start on the tracks. I have only assembled the top sag lengths so far. I am going to have to workout hay to do the rest so they can be primed, painted and weathered.



Hull and turret are ready for a coat of primer.



Hull and turret primed. Look close and you will see where I had to fill the two holes.


The final photo of this post. I noticed that the two holes needed some sanding.

Tow chains painted by hand. Fit in place using some ca glue.



Ready for gloss coat. Going with the rubber band tracks.




Only two decals needed for this scheme.


All the white lines painted by hand using citadel skull white.

Started putting the wheels prior to fitting the rubber band tracks. Did I do a bobo. A close look at the photo will show the mistake I made.







Had to re position both sides, TET came in handy for the side shown in the above photo. The other side needed some minor work. Some holes had to be drilled. Brass rod, was cut shorter, and some poly dowel.


After a bit of gluing the suspension and wheels are now in their correct place. Tracks fitted.


Ready to begin weathering. Decided to try some oil paint.



Added some dark earth pigments. Used black and a burnt umber oils to make a wash. used this aroung the suspension and wheels, Then added some pigments.



The lower hull after the oil treatment.


Tracks are to shiny. Even after a wash with chestnut ink. Needed to do a bit more work.


Application of rust pigments.



Just a bit more to do then I will call it done.
