Hello from Cornwall!

Hey guys,

My names Kirk, I'm 23 yrs old and I'm from Cornwall, UK. As far south as you can get near Lands End!

I'm not completely new to modeling, started when I was a kid with Airfix, then moved on to war gaming (warhammer) not so much for the gaming but entirely for the painting aspect. I got pretty good/confident with a brush. Then reality took over and I had to put my brush down for a short while.

I'm a full time musician (thank my lucky stars) and am finding I have slightly more time to myself. I'd rather fill it with models again.

Was amazed when browsing the net one day to see how things have moved on since I started as a kid. Watched from the background until it was time to indulge. Starting with an airbush! all the amazing camo schemes from the Tamiya catalog now seem within hands reach! I've been messing around with a 1/48 Mustang P-51 C. However, learnt my first lesson the hard way...... Humbrol Clear gloss varnish has RUINED my model!

Anyway, looking froward to making some new friends!
