Hi guys
so here is the final reveal for my entry in this group build
i have build the Eduard Lavochkin La-5 limited edition kit
wich is a rebox of the Zvezda kit with some Eduard detailing parts in the box like wheels ,masks and photo etch
overall i am happy with the build and result
the kit is not the best kit i ever made but it still is pretty good and i had a lot of fun building it

So here is my Lavochkin La-5 flown by Major Georgi D. Kostylev of the 4 GIAP near Leningrad (St. Petersburg) in the summer of 1944

yes i have a 1/16 T-34/85 in this build aswell
bit that is not even close to finished
i have done most work on the hull and then i have to build the turret aswell
but i have almost 3 and a half months left for that

It does make me want to build more planes and helicopters but with the big Hind i have enough for a while
maybe when i clear some bench space i will build some more

the mouth wich aperently is a shark mouth according to the instructions was a touch from a over productive mechanic
He painted them on 3 to 5 planes from the unit
i guess he never saw a real shark
but that was a dificult decal
very thin and it wouldn't go where i wanted it
in the end i trimmed the decals edge as that was sticking out from the exhaust covers so they are about 1 mm shorter then they should

those decals where a lot of work to get on there
it would have been much easier if they included the black area on the decal and maybe made it from 1 big decal and the small one on the air intake

that is just the effect of the varnish i think
the decals are cartograph so they are pretty good but they still are just decals not paint
allthough i doubt i could paint all that

The teeth where the work of a mechanic
He did that with 5 planes fron the squadron
They are supossed to be sharkteeth so i guess he never saw a actual shark
But it does give the plane a mean look

Mark as I would say in Dutch "ziet er puik uit" excellent build yet again. May I ask where you got the EZ-Line been having a hard time finding a new spool after my German Model Shop stopped operating last year.. ??
