Hi Everybody, my name's Phil and I live in Redditch which is in Worcestershire (yep where the sauce comes from) in the UK.

As with so many on the forum, I did lots of models as a kid and have returned to my youthful passion after more years than I care to remember. I share so many of the traits witnessed throughout this forum not least of which are the twins of a keen desire to learn new skills and then improve the overall quality of my models. However that desire is outweighed by my respect for the skills of the great and the good on this site such as paul (spoke briefly at 2015 IPMS Telford when buying some Ultimate gear), lee, coen and scalemodelmedic (I too was once a "tiptonite"). Apologies for the myriad of uber talented modellers not mentioned, I've really enjoyed reading and in some instances watching some of your outstanding work.

I'm lucky enough to have a very understanding wife who has watched as my habit has grown to a truly addicted status with my stash now filling most of our loft, a spraying area in our garage meaning our cars are no longer welcome and my study handed over to a workbench, tool chest, paint stand and more medium sized (1/48's) stash.

My modelling preferences focus on the larger scales of almost anything with the sweet spot being aircraft. So recent purchases of 1/24 mossie and Typhoon have me with a silly grin plastered across my face whenever I think or see them .

I hope to become an active member of the forum, as the support you provide one another with WIP updates is quite motivating. Showing SWMBO my joy at getting cockpit details lifted via drybrushing and her supportive, that's very nice dear, just doesn't cut it .
